Experian Marketing Services needed a simulated demo to empower sales staff and bring a clearer understanding of cross-channel marketing to the consumer.
We were tasked to create a demo to showcase a user journey across channels.
We started by creating a fictitious online retail brand called “Sole Mate”. We planned and executed a consistent look and feel for the brand across the different channels. We then proceeded to build a story line showing a user’s journey:
- User clicks a banner ad (Display channel)
- User arrives at landing page and enters a competition (Web channel)
- User receives a double opt-in email (Email channel)
- User is afterwards prompted to share the competition to receive special offer (Social channel)
- User shops and leaves some products in cart, triggering a re-target email
- Item in cart gets is discounted and an SMS is triggered (SMS channel)
- User then clicks the link and opens the shopping app to buy product (Mobile app channel)
- The user’s home page keeps changing through interactions with the system (Recommendation engine)
